DOUG CARE EQUIPMENT, INC. - Yes, there really is a Doug Care! Doug grew up in his dad's and uncle's food equipment dealership in the Los Angeles area. He, and his wife Lynn, started Doug Care Equipment 20 years ago in 1997, putting into practice everything his dad and uncle had taught him, namely truth and honesty! We gradually moved from carrying just meat processing equipment to also handling packaging equipment, including shrink wrap equipment, vacuum pack equipment and many different models of bag sealers from hand impulse sealers to continuous band sealers. Now, with grandson Zachary taking the lead in web site development, we look forward to the next step in our company growth. We currently ship our products all over the US and Canada.
Returns and Refunds Policy
Claims of damage, defect or error must be made within 5 days after receiving your order.
Claims of freight damaged items must be made to the freight carrier. We will be happy to assist you in making your claim.
Returns of non-defective items must be made within 15 days after receiving the items, in its original packaging and in saleable condition. A restocking fee of 20% may be charged. Shipping related charges are not refundable. We will inspect returned items before issuing credit. Any repairs that need to be made will be subtracted from the credit. Please allow two to three weeks.
Vacuum pouches, shrink film and bags, stretch film ARE NOT returnable. Please check with us BEFORE ordering to determine if item is returnable.

Equipment is covered by the original manufacturers warranty which vary with the different manufacturers. We will be happy to help you with any warranty problems that occur. You may need to return equipment at your expense to have warranty service done. We can also help you get repair parts under warranty during the warranty period if you do your own work.
A Return Authorization Number (RAN) must be obtained prior to returning any item, and return freight prepaid by the customer. Return shipping instructions will be provided.
No returns will be accepted after 15 days.
Credit card refunds will be processed to the original credit card.
Most smaller items ship within 1 or 2 days usually by UPS. It can take longer if an item is out of stock. UPS ground can take up to 5 business days to reach you depending on your location and where the item is shipping from. You can choose a faster method of shipping, if desired, while checking out. Most larger machines ship LTL truck. Our shopping cart will not figure the truck freight but we will get back to you with shipping options and costs.

Some of the manufacturers we represent are listed below. Minipack-America Minipack-America chamber vacuum machines, shrink wrap systems and and stretch wrap machines carry a one year parts warranty. Wear items such as sealing elements, PTFE Non Stick tape, seal bar strikers, gaskets, oil, etc. are not covered. Labor warranty is limited to 90 days and may require the machine be brought or shipped to a service center.
Our shopping cart uses Secure Server Software (SSL) technology which encrypts your personal information, including your credit card data and prevents it from being intercepted over the Internet. We will never sell or share your personal information, including your e-mail address, to other companies for any reason, except as required by law.
We will ask you for certain information when ordering products (name, address, e-mail address, credit card information.) This information allows us to process and fulfil your order, and to get in touch with you if necessary.
The shopping cart check out form is the only place on our site that we collect personal information about you. We use the information we collect to track your visit to dougcare.com, process and ship your order, and to be able to contact you if you request it or if we have questions about your order. We do not track your visits by name, only by general information (such as the type of browser you use, the files you request, and the domain name and country from which you request information) to let us improve our web site and better serve you.
We use a third party for credit card processing, verification and in some cases, to drop ship merchandise. We do not receive or store your complete credit card information on our server. We will never send your complete credit card number by e-mail. We treat our data as assets that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access.
